Mrs. Mireille B., now retired after a career in the haute-couture industry and a young grandmother, entrusted us with the renovation of the kitchen area in her family’s country house. A straightforward space, filled with memories. Our keywords? Softness, simplicity and autumnal memories.
Martinelli’s answer
For this project, our goal was to bring in a seamless touch of modernity and convenience. The family home retains its historic configuration, with a central island for cooking and eating, inset with a discreet and convenient area of textured ash grey granite. The balanced distribution of the cooking stations and storage units frees up useful space around it. On the finish side, light, soft tones underline the warm light, along with orange accents and a strong grain on wood elements.
Designed to accompany the owner’s movements, each drawer lights up when it is opened.
To create harmony in the room, the texture of the table is reflected in the furniture frame.
